Text-to-Speech
Streamerly's TTS system reads alert messages and viewer content aloud on your stream. It supports multiple providers with different voice qualities, from high-fidelity AI voices to retro-style synthesis.
How TTS Works
TTS is tied to your Stream Triggers. When a trigger fires and includes a text message (from a cheer, sub message, or Super Cheer), TTS converts that text to speech and plays it on your overlay.
The flow is:
- A viewer event includes a text message
- Your trigger's TTS settings determine the voice and timing
- The text is synthesized using your selected provider
- The audio plays through your overlay's Alert Box widget
Configuration
TTS is enabled per stream trigger. See TTS in Alerts for setup instructions.
Key settings:
- Default Voice — The voice used when no specific voice is selected
- Voice List — Available voices for randomization or viewer selection
- Randomized Voice — Randomly pick a voice for each alert
- Allow User Choice — Let viewers select their voice (Super Cheers)
- Read Event / Read Message — Control what gets read aloud
