Activate Custom Alert

The Activate Custom Alert effect displays a custom alert on your stream overlay. This is the most flexible alert type -- you can configure every aspect of the alert's appearance, animation, sound, and text content through the corresponding Build Custom Alert process node.

Use custom alerts for situations not covered by the built-in alert types, such as channel point redeems, chat command responses, milestone celebrations, or any event where you want a visual overlay notification.

Example

Create a channel point redeem called "Spotlight" that displays the viewer's message in a large, animated alert on screen. Connect a Channel Point Redeem trigger to a Build Custom Alert node where you set a spotlight animation, a dramatic sound effect, and a text template that includes the viewer's name and message. Connect the builder's output to an Activate Custom Alert effect. Whenever a viewer redeems the Spotlight reward, their message gets a dramatic on-screen moment.
